How Breast Augmentation with Fat Transfer Works

Breast Augmentation with Fat Transfer, often referred to as fat grafting, is an innovative procedure that enhances breast size and shape using the patient’s own fat. This technique offers a dual benefit: reducing unwanted fat deposits and enhancing breast volume naturally. During the procedure, our skilled surgeons meticulously harvest fat from areas with excess deposits, such as the abdomen or thighs, through liposuction. The fat is then purified and carefully injected into the breasts to achieve a more rounded and naturally feminine shape. This method is highly favoured for its natural results and lower risk of rejection since it uses the patient's own body tissues.

Rest and Recovery at Home

If you are having surgery, you won't be able to drive, so make arrangements for someone to pick you up after the procedure. You may also want to arrange for someone to help you with tasks such as preparing meals, doing your laundry, etc. during your recovery. Ask your clinic if they can make special arrangements for a caregiver if you are living alone or travelling from abroad to have your top surgery in Canada.

Supportive Bra

Following your top surgery, you will be asked to wear a supportive bra (similar to a sports bra) for up to six weeks. There are many benefits to wearing a supportive bra, including:
• Preventing fluid discharge
• Minimizing scarring
• Lessening discomfort
• Keeping the sutured skin together and stopping it from stretching

Getting Back to Work

When it comes to recovery time, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. People heal at different rates and some may recover faster than others. If you work in an office and sit at a desk all day, you may be able to return to your job after a week of rest. You might be able to do some light walking as well. Take it slowly. For up to six weeks post-op, it's best not to do heavy lifting or other strenuous activities, as this can result in bleeding.

Potential Complications & Risks

As with any surgical procedure, there are potential risks and complications associated with Breast Augmentation Surgery. These may include infection, bleeding, asymmetry, or scarring. Your surgeon will discuss these risks with you during your consultations and explain the steps taken to minimize them.
